Suspected H. pylori, persistent parasite symptoms, or recurrent gut infections after international travel are also strong clinical reasons to order it.
Not everyone needs it. Someone with an acute GI illness gets faster, cheaper, and often more actionable results from a standard pathogen panel ordered by a physician. Someone without chronic symptoms who feels generally well has little clinical reason to spend $525 on this panel.
